About the Centre

Where cooperative knowledge takes shape

Saventorino is an educational centre dedicated to the theory and practice of social economy. Our programme gives participants a structured, comprehensive foundation for understanding how cooperative enterprises work — from their legal constitution to their financial reporting obligations.

The 120-hour course covers every dimension a cooperative founder or administrator needs to navigate: legal frameworks, fiscal regimes specific to social economy entities, governance structures, and accounting under the General Cooperative Accounting Plan. Each topic is treated with the depth it deserves.

This is an accredited educational activity. We do not provide incorporation services or commercial legal advice.

Social Economy Today

Understanding the cooperative difference

Cooperatives occupy a distinct legal and economic space in Spain. They are not simply businesses with a different ownership structure — they operate under a specific regulatory framework, face particular fiscal obligations, and govern themselves according to democratic principles that have no direct equivalent in conventional corporate law.

This distinctiveness is exactly why specialised training matters. General business education rarely addresses cooperative-specific accounting standards, the nuances of the cooperative tax regime, or the internal governance rules that a general assembly must follow. Our curriculum fills that gap with precision.

Cooperative accounting documents and annual accounts preparation

Knowing the rules is the first condition for building something that lasts.
